Day in the life: Junior Captain

Service Description

From reading charts and weather patterns to learning essential knots and the basics of boat operation, our Junior Captains program engages kids in the dynamic adventure of boating in the Gulf of Maine. Run by a Maine-state certified teacher and EMT-certified duo who both have 20+ years of experience running experiential educational programs, you can rest assured your child will be safely cared for and engaged in an action-packed day of adventuring! Owen will be sharing his knowledge as a US Coast Guard approved Captain and Registered Maine Guide, and Courtney will be sharing her curriculum design experience by creating interactive educational materials for each kid to take home. This full-day program runs from 9am-6pm. Price is per kid. Either sign up for a scheduled date or message us to organize your own group of 6 kids and select a date that works for you. We provide convenient pick-up and drop-off services to and from Portland (and more locations within 1hr of Phippsburg per request). Discounted rates apply to full groups who elect to drop off in Phippsburg.
